For The Troops held its 7th Annual Military Tribute Gala honoring World War II and Korean War Veterans at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Patrick Cassidy served as Master of Ceremonies while Jack Cassidy wowed the crowd with a special performance, along with Danny and Pamela Seraphine,. Founded in 2006 by Paula Cornell and Janie Josephson, For The Troops is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization. For the Troops provides members of the American military with “We Care” packages. These packages contain basic necessities, goodies, games and, most of all, a show of support. Their mission is: We support them while they protect us.
“It is truly an honor to be the chair of this gala and a Medal of Honor Sponsor,” says Rosemary Allison. “I thank all of the supporters for joining me in helping us to bring meaningful tokens of our appreciation to our deployed military personnel.” She then explains that few people realize that since the twin wars of Afghanistan and Iraq began in 2001, more than 2.5 million Americans have served. Meanwhile, a third of these Americans have been deployed for up to five tours of duty.
Rosemary and her co-chair for the 8th annual gala in 2020 are already hard at work. For ticket information or to donate auction items, contact 805.306.0830 or visit ForTheTroops.org.
