All proceeds benefit local charities, including the Westminster Free Clinic, Conejo Valley Reading Is Fundamental, Dreamcatcher Park, K9s for Warriors and Make a Wish Foundation—just to name a few.

The 63rd Annual Conejo Valley Days, at Conejo Creek Park South (23 Freeway/Janss Road exit) in Thousand Oaks, celebrates the area’s western roots and community spirit. The four-day event features entertainment for kids, teens and the whole family, including carnival rides, games, live music and kids’ arts and crafts. Newly awarded National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year, Paul Nicklen, is the co-founder of the nonprofit Sea Legacy, formed to protect and create healthy and abundant oceans through visual storytelling. In 2017, Nicklen sparked a global conversation about polar bear conservation. An award-winning National Geographic explorer and photographer, Nicklen will reveal the nature of the changing polar regions and interpret what scientists are observing about environmental challenges. Nicklen grew up among the Inuit and developed a lifelong interest in wildlife and the environment in which they live.
