At-Home Spa Recipes

Longing for the indulgence of a spa day but don’t have an appointment or the time to spare that it takes to pamper? That’s why the notion of at-home spa recipes and treatments is key—all you need are the proper ingredients to make your product and a slot in your schedule, even if it’s early morning or late at night, to enjoy. Here are a few recipes to take the edge (and extra skin cells) off and to help create promises of perfect skin and zen moments, right at home.

At-Home Spa Recipes

Vanilla Sugar Cookie Body Scrub

⅔ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup ground oats (grind oats in a blender)
6 tablespoons almond oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until mixed. Transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. To use, place some of the scrub into hands and gently rub over skin. Use extra caution if putting it on your face. Add a little warm water if needed. Rinse the scrub off with warm water and pat dry. This scrub is best used before bathing or at bedtime.

Soothing Bath Salts

1 cup coarse sea salt
1 cup Epsom salt
30 drops essential oil (of your choice)

Combine ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Transfer to a jar with tight-fitting lid. Store in a cool, dark place, for up to several months. To use, add 1/2 cup of the bath salts to a warm bath.

Gentle Exfoliating Sugar Face Scrub

1 cup granulated sugar
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup coconut oil

Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. Use to gently exfoliate face and body.  Rinse well with warm water.
