Amy Nebens (amynebens.com) has more than 20 years experience in the media industry.Her career as an editor in New York included positions at some of the top lifestyle, fashion/beauty and women’s service publications, including Martha Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, YM magazine and Bridal Guide. she was also a regular freelance contributor to publications and digital outlets including Martha Stewart Kids/Baby, Self, Cosmopolitan, Shop etc. and Home. Amy also authored a number of lifestyles, how-to and weddings books, including Good Things for Entertaining for Martha Stewart Living and the best-selling the Bride’s Book series for Barnes & Noble. Amy has appeared on air and in print as a lifestyles and weddings expert for a variety of outlets including Today, The Early Show, Good Day New York, People magazine, the New York Post and others.
Rebecca Gray Grossman
Rebecca Gray Grossman has worked extensively in healthcare media for more than twenty-five years as a researcher, journalist, and television correspondent. Among other shows, she was a guest host on a weekly morning news segment entitled, “Stop The Clock” for ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles. She was the Publisher and Editorial Director for Westlake Magazine for more than a decade and launched West Luxury Magazine and Paragon Healthy Lifestyles Magazine in 2016. She now spearheads the Paragon Healthy Lifestyles brand (paragonhealthylifestyles.com) and as Chair of The Grossman Burn Foundation she dedicates her time to supporting burn survivors both locally and globally and exploring new technologies in healthcare.
ALL the pages and designs of WLMs go through Erin, our Creative Director/Lead Designer who is “Our Glue” and page wrangler. Erin (erinmariestudios.com) who is a published illustrator, has been a graphic designer for more than 25 years and knows a thing or two about media with a B.A. in journalism with emphasis on advertising and a minor in art. The youngest of six kids, she has naturally inherited a weave-and-bob gene to survive almost anything–especially print deadlines. Erin appreciates a great team and is the first to say that THIS team is priceless. We think she is!
A veteran photographer with a career spanning 20-plus years, from New York City to Los Angeles and beyond, we count ourselves lucky to call Joey Carman (joeycarman.com) our Chief West Coast Photographer. Joey is our go-to behind-the-lens master to capture all sorts of stories from celebrity and wedding covers to fashion features, food articles and the DIY pages. Joey is a successful entrepreneur with deep ties to the business community and has also signed on to be our Director of Advertising.
Chef Eric Kopelow
Certified Executive Chef Eric Kopelow (cheferickopelow.com) is an award-winning American-born chef with world-class credentials. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, a member of the American Culinary Federation, and has been the WLM Culinary Editor for 7 years. As a philanthropist, innovator and sought-after talent, Chef calls many celebrities, executives and other well-known chefs as clients and friends and brings his expertise knowledge and discussions with peers to WLM pages.
We are thrilled that Hollywood How2Girl Courtney Sixx (how2girl.com), DIY expert and flower arranger extraordinaire, is officially our Entertaining Editor. When she’s not sharing her lifestyle expertise with us, Courtney is producing entertaining articles and segments with projects including tablescapes, party ideas, festive decor and more as a guest on morning talk shows, as a contributing editor to Martha Stewart Living, as well as contributor to other media outlets including Elle and Glamour. She is a frequent fixture at red-carpet events, where one of her favorite things to do is remember all the details, then go home to recreate them on her own.
Kate Peris is an editorial and a celebrity stylist with big-time successes like Vogue, A-list clients and a Drake music video to her name, Kate was essentially born into her style sense. She credits her mom, “a hippy, renaissance fashionista” but it is Kate who has run with it ever since, taking pride in what she saw as an art form. Kate began her career as a personal assistant on the set of Will and Grace (the OG), where she loved hanging wardrobe department. From there she became a personal and celebrity stylist, then began a successful editorial stylist career. Now Kate is fine-tuning her fashion focus again, curating her much anticipated collection of accessories, KHAOS by Kate Peris (khaosbykateperis.com). The line is a selection from some of Kate’s favorite designers as well as some fabulous new finds. She keeps busy too as the Style Editor for WLMs.
Karen, an uber talented decorator and home designer, is the founder of Sanctuary Home Decor (sanctuaryhomedecor.com), a popular website and Instagram-famous brand. Karen and her family split their time between her decorating canvases: a stunning L.A. home and breathtaking 500-acre ranch in Montana. For our pages and website Karen, the WLM Home Editor, lends her creativity to our process, including researching, shooting, styling and writing home and entertaining pieces.
Lifelong fashion and glossy magazine enthusiast Laura Maged comes to WESTLAKE / WEST LUXURY as part of her relocation to California from Connecticut where she owned a high end, curated fashion boutique featuring west coast style mixed with east coast edge. There she loved the buying and merchandising as well as personal styling her clients. Now back in her happy place, she loves the high-low Cali style and coastal lifestyle in LA and is excited to be the WLM Fashion Editor!
Miranda Tollman is native Angeleno. She is a graduate of Northwestern University, and has worked as a freelance writer for a variety of publications as well as television documentaries. She is deeply involved on the boards of several non-profits, including the Geffen Playhouse (where she chairs the Advisory Board), LA Love and Leashes (an animal shelter shop dedicated to the adoption of thousands of homeless animals a year), The Celine Cousteau Film Fellowship, and her children’s’ schools. That’s what makes Miranda the perfect person to fill the role as WLM’s Art & Philanthropy Editor.
Shellee Dyne’s (dyneamicnutrition.com) interest in nutrition started when she was a little girl. How could it not? As daughter of a fitness enthusiast and health club owner, she grew up in a household where breakfast was inspired by the food pyramid and dessert was a multivitamin chaser. As she grew older, her curiosity soon evolved into a passion for understanding wellness and helping others achieve it. The key to balancing her life, which includes family, work, and charity, is exercise, enough sleep, and healthy eating. As a certified nutritionist and wellness expert, Shellee appears as an authority on local TV news broadcasts including ABC7, KCAL and KTTV and we are thrilled to have Shellee as WLMs Wellness Editor.
Donna grew up living all over the world. She is a people person who has been recognized for her exemplary service for years both professionally and as a philanthropist and fundraiser. Donna is married to celebrity chef and WLM Culinary Editor, Chef Eric Kopelow and is a social media expert and has a deep network with entertainment, news, culinary, travel and other influential people globally. Donna brings all of her expertise and connections to WLM as Special Projects Editor and Social Media Director by working on outreach, social media as well as securing profiles and cover features.
Laura Gallop has been a Copy Editor and regular contributor at WLMs since 2016 and loves the process of editing. With a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, Laura worked for many years in city government where she produced department reports and a monthly newsletter. In addition to her work with the magazines, Laura works with high school seniors as a college application essay specialist and does independent website writing and editing for an academic tutoring center. She has edited several memoirs and books, and countless essays written over the years by her two grown sons!
Julia Naman (julia-naman.com), our superstar intern during her time as a creative writing student at Pepperdine University is back…kind of! While she has been a constant contributor after graduation, she has also been busy doing her own thing: She launched a successful music career (you have got to hear her voice and accompanying guitar) and has traveled the world—as a tourist and as a Fulbright Scholar, spending close to a year living in India teaching English. Now our esteemed Research Editor, Julia also lends her pen to our pages as a talented writer.
